Hi, we’re Kyle & Laura…

…and let me tell you quickly about Laura and I. Though we met much later in life, we quickly discovered that we both had battled similar issues when it came to trying to keep the pounds off, our entire lives.

We were attempting to ‘drop some pounds’ (yet again) in preparation for Laura’s upcoming 25th High School Reunion.

I’m sure you all know how it goes. Trying to get rid of the extra lbs. for an upcoming special event because we want look our best. Am I right? Ladies? Gents?

We both were struggling with our restless nights of sleep, uncontrollable cravings, and just couldn’t keep from eating bad foods. And forget about having the motivation to exercise. We both just didn’t seem to have the energy. Though I had a little bit more motivation than Laura, that motivation was just as up and down as the pounds around my gut.

During some restless nights, I’d catch Laura raiding the fridge for a midnight snack, but truth the told, other nights she’d be catching me.

We were getting more and more frustrated and couldn’t figure out why nothing was working for either one of us.

Laura really wanted to go to her reunion, but was also dreading it more and more because of being on the heavier side now. She was afraid about of all her old friends and classmates thinking she’d “let herself go” and was getting really anxious about it.

After continuous convincing on my part, I got Laura to go. While we were there, we ran into Laura’s old friend, Lisa, whom looked great.

Laura, though uncomfortable, couldn’t help but ask Lisa how she managed such a dramatic transformation because Lisa also had the same issues throughout her own life.

Lisa told us about how she gained knowledge from John Barban, a recognized leading expert who holds a long list of prestigious degrees in human biology, nutrition, and exercise physiology, and taught Human Performance for several years at the acclaimed University of Florida (Go Gators!).

One of the main things Lisa learned from John, was to make a simple change to her after dinner routine.

When we got home, Laura started doing her own research and decided to make the same simple change.
